Council of Masters
The Council of Masters is made up of teachers who have reached the ranking of Master or Semi-Master in our
association. To become a Master or Semi-Master the individual has to provide a "unique" contribution to the ABEA, in addition to stitching
and contributing to the art of Japanese Bunka. An applicant must be sponsored and voted in by the Council of Masters. Continued service
to the association is expected of any COM member.
Note: Master and Semi-Master is different to that of Semi-Master Stitcher
and Master Stitcher.
The COM is very like a Board of Directors, they meet once a year at the annual seminar to help choose future
seminar locations, classes for seminar, and most importantly to monitor
and evaluate the needs of the members.
Any issues
you want to bring to the COM must be sent in writing to the President by June 1 of the current year.
